We are looking for experienced Senegalese Offshore Electrical Technician for our Client. The incumbent plays a key role in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Ensure good quality of maintenance electrical operations;
- Guarantee a good level of availability of the equipment;
- Assemble, kevaluate, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances and paparatus;
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, appliances and apparatus;
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance and repairs of electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, lighting and control systems, maintaining motors, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, cables and other electrical components;
- Identify and resolve electrical issues, malfunctions and faults by utilizing diagnostic tools, testing equipment and technical documentation. Analyze electrical circuits, perform electrical testing and conduct root cause analysis to rectify problems and restore system functionality;
- Monitor and maintain the power generation and distribution systems on the site for generators, switchboards, transformers and associated protection devices. Perform regular inspections, tests and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and reliability;
- Constructing and fabricating parts, using hand tools and specifications;
- Reading and intrepreting electrical and electronic circuit, diagrams and schematics.
Experience / Requirements / Qualifications
- Higher National Diploma or Certificate (Bac + 3) or BTS/DUT or equivalent;
- 1 to 3 years experience in the maintenance field on oil and gas production installations;
- Basic knowledge of the process of oil and gas ktreatment, installations and a thorough knowledge of the equipment used in oil and gas installations;
- Technical skills Electrical Maintenance systems & Activities: generators, transformers and distribution systems, UPS & Batteries, motors & compressors, heaters, electrical components;
- Following state and local building regulations, Standard industry practice;
- Experience using CMMS systems (SAP, Maximo…) and Office Suite, etc…;
- Pride in his work, ability to maintain good relations with others;
- Physical ability to work on offshore installations (climatic contitions of the site, rotational work, transportation by marine vessels or helicopter, etc…);
- English: Fluent as it is the working language.
